Many of you have probably heard of Bitmojis and even used them while chatting with your family or friends. If you get excited by having your own cartoon character then we have great news for you: last week with only several days difference Facebook and dzook have introduced their new features that both dealt with creating a person’s cartoon character. In this article, we are going to guide you through the process of creating your character by using each of the platforms.
Facebook Avatars
Several days ago Facebook rolled out its new feature called Avatars, that similar to Snapchat’s Bitmoji allows users to create a cartoon avatar of themselves. Later that avatar can be used in comments, messenger, and Facebook stories. Facebook created the feature to allow users to express their emotions with their personal avatars instead of generic happy, sad, angry, or other emojis.
So here is how you can create your personal avatar on Facebook.
- Open your Facebook app and tap on the three horizontal lines at the bottom right corner.
- Scroll down and tap “See More”.
- Choose “Avatars” and start the process of creation.
- Select your skin tone to get started.
- Go through each section and choose a hairstyle and hair color from options available; face shape; eye shape, eye color, and makeup; eyebrows and color; eyewear and its color; nose; mouth and color; facial hair and color; body shape; outfit; and finally headwear and its color.
- As soon as you are done, tap on the checkmark in the top right corner of your screen.
- Once your avatar is finished loading you need to tap “Next” and “Done”.
You will see the final result of your customization and will be able to share it to your Facebook feed or use it as a temporary profile picture. Also, you can view your Avatar stickers and use them while commenting on posts.
dzook character
On May 17th, dzook launched its new platform called dzook.ai. Using an AI technology the platform allows users to create their illustrated characters within several seconds. Here is how it is done:
- Go to dzook.ai
- Take or upload a photo where your face is clearly visible and not covered with anything.
- Tap “Draw Me” and wait until the Aila technology draws your portrait.
- As soon as the character is created change the background color if you want.
- Save the result to your images or share your cartoon character on social media.
While using dzook.ai you don’t need to select each part of your face manually and still get a character that looks nothing like you. Thanks to the AI technology created by dzook there is no limitation on colors and shapes of different parts of your face and you can have a character that looks exactly like you. Moreover, dzook illustrations are unique and can’t be found anywhere else because the art style our AI technology uses was created by our artists.
You can use your dzook character as a profile picture on Facebook, share it on social media, or even order some cool personalized stuff with 3dzook.
Make sure to try both features and let us know in the comments which one do you like the most! :)
