Have you ever thought how cool it would be to have your own illustrated character? We have! That was when we decided to create a platform, where you will be able to upload your photo and get your illustrated portrait in different art styles within several seconds. We called it “dzook”.
But let’s start with the introduction of the technology we use to make the generation of illustrated portraits as fast and as accurate as possible.
Meet Aila, a technology created by 3dzook Inc. The uniqueness of the technology which was developed from the ground up by our team is in its special algorithm, which allows creating artworks using the database consisting of thousands of portraits provided by our artists. The result is an illustrated version of your uploaded photo.
As already mentioned, we’ve created a database that consists of thousands of artworks, which allows the algorithm to detect the exact shape and color of a person’s eyes, nose, mouth, hair and all the other parts of the face. By providing the artworks in different styles ranging from the more realistic ones to the fully cartoonish ones, our artists gave the opportunity for the users to have a wide choice of art style options while generating their illustrated portrait. This means that the platform can be used over and over again converting the photo to a differently styled drawn portrait each time.
Getting the illustrated portrait through our website requires just a few simple taps. All the users need to do is take a selfie or use the already existing photo where their face is clearly shown, upload it to the platform, click on the conversion button and wait several seconds to get the portrait. That’s it! Easy, huh? Later they can share it on their social media, use it to order personalized t-shirts, phone cases, or anything they want with their character on it.
